Make It

A whole year. 365 new and fresh days are ahead of us. What will we do with those days is up to us. I hear a lot about how the goal of this next year is to “make it better than the one before” but I don’t necessarily believe that. I think we should strive to make it different.Even in what could be considered a bad year, we still have great days, create great memories, learn more about ourselves and grow, so the goal should to learn different things, try different things, take chances, follow your heart and God’s calling and see where that takes you.Even more so we should strive to be happier in the next year, now there will be sad times but we should try to overcome the bad with a new kind of positivity, one that is stronger.

Day by day of this next year if all we are focused on is to be happy, who knows what could happen. We can do this by listening to what God is calling us to do, chasing a passion where fear has held you back, meeting new people, finding yourself, giving a lot more that receiving. The moral of the story is that God is blessing us with more time on this earth. He has given us another year to become fearless, and faithful, and passionate, and kind, and to be who WE ARE. That is the point, the fact that we get to have that time, and we shouldn’t waste it. Yes we will fail, but He will pick us up, yes we will hurt but He heals all, the only thing we should fear is wasting the time he is giving us. Our fear should be that we didn’t take bigger jumps or love hard enough.

Timothy 1:7 says “For God did not give us the spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, love, and self discipline”.

He wants us to push ourselves, to feel the aching of our souls and follow the path he is laying out for us. That is what we should try for in the new year. Make this next year whatever you want it to be, just MAKE IT. Conquer the world if you want to, we can do anything we set our minds to we have God behind us, and that is all we need.

So..Here to 2016.

Quote of the Day
